Audit, Accounting and Reporting

The regulatory framework on corporate audit, accounting and narrative reporting in the UK.

It is vital that the UK economy has efficient and effective capital markets and there is confidence in the corporate framework through greater transparency.

Providing for reliable and informative reporting contributes to this commitment through the development of the regulatory framework on audit, accounting and narrative reporting in the UK. This includes the implementation of international accounting standards and international standards on auditing.

As the economies are increasingly globalised, this requires an ongoing dialogue with UK stakeholders and EU/International regulators on measures to encourage market stability. This includes advancing competition and resilience in the market for audit and assurance services.
